Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Lapsey ("the App"), a timelapse camera application developed by Sam Stone ("Developer", "we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
License
Subject to these Terms, the Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not: copy, modify, or distribute the App; reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble it; rent, lease, or lend it; use it to create a competing product; or remove any proprietary notices.
Purchases
Lapsey is free to download. A one-time in-app purchase ("Lapsey Pro") unlocks full functionality. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms of sale. The Developer does not have access to your payment information.
All purchases are final. Refunds are handled solely by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. Once unlocked, Pro features are available on all devices signed in with the same Apple ID.
By using the App you also agree to Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Sam Stone and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your timelapse projects, photos, and videos remain your own — the Developer claims no ownership over content you create with the App.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data — arising from your use of the App. The Developer's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
Changes to the App and Terms
The Developer may update the App or these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data Lapsey collects and how it is used. The App is designed with privacy as a default: we do not collect, store, or sell personal data.
Data We Collect
Lapsey does not collect, transmit, or share personal data. All photos, videos, and project files you create are stored locally on your device and are never sent to any server.
Camera & Photo Library Access
The App requires camera access to capture timelapse frames. Photo Library access is requested only when you save a rendered video. This access is used solely to perform the action you requested — no data leaves your device.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. Lapsey does not have access to your payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple under their privacy policy.
Analytics & Tracking
Lapsey does not use third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs. No tracking occurs within the App.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected at all, the App is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
